Shop till you drop!

Yesterday my hubby and I were able to go into town and officially get my last name changed on my license and social security card. While we were out we stopped by the mall in town called Ala Moana Center. Now this is a pretty nice shopping center in the center are all designer stores like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Fendi, etc. I like to stick to the outer stores like Sears and Old Navy.

Right now at Old Navy though they have a sale going on that is buy and two items in the store and get one free. We went in figuring we wouldn't really buy anything, just to browse. Just as we were about to leave I spotted a rack of slippers (that's what they call flip-flops in Hawaii) for men for only $2 a piece! I don't know how many people are aware of Old Navy slippers, as they are AMAZING! I have had one pair since I've been in Hawaii for 2 years and they are still going strong. Anyways,  we ended up going ahead and getting 3 due to the sale.  So after finding the right sizes we went to the check out and got 3 new pairs of slippers for just $4.19! Now that's what I call a bargain.

Remember, when you go to stores, go to the clearance section first, especially when they have sales like this, you never know what you are going to find!

Once again, I need to get back to class and pretend I am paying attention...

Aloha!

One by One

There are 3 things I love: cooking, saving money, and my husband. Being a college kid in Hawaii though doesn't always allow me to buy what I want though, especially when I want to give my husband a great meal. If you've never been here before, let me tell you things here are a bit pricey. A gallon of milk for instance, I usually pay around $5 for a gallon, and that's on sale.

So that's what this blog is about, combining my love for cooking and love to save money. My husband will (hopefully) reap the benefits of me trying out new recipes and saving money.

I should probably get back to class now.

Aloha!

P.S. Here is an article about living costs in Hawaii, just so you can see :)
